Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Reviews and More

Forerunner 305 Review

Are you looking for a great running companion that can monitor your heart as well as your run?  If so look no farther because you've found a great one.  The Forerunner 305 is a great wrist-style GPS unit that can monitor your run with extreme accuracy and speed.

According to Amazon the only cons of this product are that the size is a bit large, however that's nothing compared to the previous wrist-mounted GPS units such as the Garmin 301 and others.  The benefits far outweigh the negatives especially the fact that it's so easy to use you'll actually want to strap it on before each run.

Positive User Reviews of the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS

"With a few one-star reviews, I was a bit hesitant to order this. Now, after two weeks of use (10 runs of 2 to 2.5 miles each), I have no regrets with the purchase whatsoever..."  - M. Leuzinger

"This Garmin is the best of the series. The 405 is sleeker, but too sensitive to the touch. The 305, even though larger, fits very comfortably to your arm and the buttons are easy to use..."
- G. Miller

Overall, a great product. Does exactly what it's designed for - for the runner/wallker. Not intended as a mapping GPS.  - J. Landowski "thelando"

Negative Forerunner 305 Reviews by Users

The Garmin Forerunner 305 has two MAJOR problems. First, Garmin's algorithm for altitude recording is poor. It apparently records every foot of elevation it thinks you gain or lose. Since there will always be some measurement error in altitude, you could run a mile on a track and the Garmin Forerunner 305 will say you've done 300 feet of elevation when you're done...   Garmin's bigger problem is customer service..."  - Bruce Christopherson

"This watch was great while it worked but . . . the heart rate monitor stopped working in less than six months. Garmin then gave me the run-around... "   - Steve S.

While many users experienced an overall positive experience and love their Forerunner 305 GPS some users had trouble with the Garmin customer service, so keep your receipt just for safekeeping.
